Job Title

Procurement Head - Product Sourcing and Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Head to lead our product sourcing and management efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive business growth, improve efficiency, and ensure quality compliance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define buying cycles and forecast market trends in concerned categories for successive years.
  • Identify, prepare, and plan for each buying season.
  • Analyze consumer behavior and recommend changes in strategies accordingly.
  • Develop Planograms and display strategies, ensuring implementation.
  • Plan for risk mitigation and quality assurance for each lot.
  • Select items and vendors.
  • Determine regional distribution of items' quantities.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor portfolios: negotiate cost and trade terms.
  • Plan transit times for each location.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Presents monthly financials and progress to management.
  • Review performance indicators, such as sales and discount levels regularly.
  • Manage stock level plans.
Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as a purchasing manager or sourcing agent.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
  • Acute knowledge of market developments regarding products and trends.
  • Knowledge of urban buying trends and preferences.
  • Exposure to international trade fairs and expos.
  • Negotiation and networking skills.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and process numbers.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Understanding of seasonal preferences, competitors, health risks, and quality standards.
