Job Title: Pharmaceutical Specialist

The Aga Khan University Hospital is a leading healthcare institution providing quality medical care to patients across Pakistan. As part of our commitment to delivering excellent patient care, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmaceutical Specialist to fill this role.

**About the Role:**

This Pharmaceutical Specialist will be responsible for dispensing medications in inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory pharmacies. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and practices, as well as excellent communication skills to work effectively with medical professionals.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Dispense drugs accurately and efficiently
  • Review physician orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor lab reports for proper indication of antibiotics and drug-drug interactions
  • Ensure timely delivery of medication to nursing units and patients
  • Verify the accuracy of labels before dispensing
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of pharmaceutical supplies
  • Provide exceptional patient counseling and support for outpatient prescriptions

**Requirements:**

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Doctorate or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university
  • At least one year of experience in retail pharmacy or hospital pharmacy settings
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, practices, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
