Software Development Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Junior Software Engineer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about backend development and eager to grow their skills in modern frameworks.

  • This role involves developing and maintaining scalable backend services for dynamic web applications.
  • You will work closely with senior developers to build APIs, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist in building APIs with Node.js and Next.js, write unit tests and debug code, and document technical processes and workflows.

  • You will be responsible for supporting frontend and third-party integrations by developing RESTful APIs using Node.js, Next.js, and Express.js.
  • Writing and maintaining unit/integration tests (Jest/Mocha) is crucial to ensure code reliability and functionality.
  • Debugging and resolving backend issues reported by QA teams or end-users will minimize downtime.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have experience in:

  • Designing schemas, writing queries, and optimizing performance for SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
  • Documenting technical workflows, API endpoints (Swagger/Postman), and database structures for team reference.
  • Collaborating with senior developers on database migrations, indexing, and performance-tuning tasks.
  • Participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (standups, sprint planning) and code reviews to align with team goals.
  • Learning and applying modern backend frameworks (Nest.js, serverless) and tools (Docker, AWS) under mentorship.
