Job Title: Skilled Machinist

Description

We are seeking an experienced machinist to fabricate or modify metal and plastic parts using various machine tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts according to specifications.
  • Determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces by reading blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) files.
  • Select appropriate materials and tools for each job based on technical knowledge.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot issues with machines and make necessary adjustments or repairs to maintain optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Turner or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of machine tool operation and maintenance.
  • Able to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
  • Physical strength and stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
