Parts Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced individual to manage our growing parts department. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in parts and distribution, with excellent organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and superior customer service skills.

The role involves:

  1. Maintaining a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department and wholesale accounts.
  2. Establishing pricing parameters for each customer category to generate sufficient gross profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
  3. Setting individual parts inventory levels and balancing them for maximum turnover.
  4. Monitoring and adjusting inventory to minimize obsolescence.
  5. Ensuring that all returned or warranty parts are properly tagged for full credit recovery from the manufacturer.
  6. Assisting in supervising stock order procedures.
  7. Ensuring technicians are adequately supplied with all necessary parts and materials.
  8. Overseeing purchasing of supplies and materials for the Service Department.
  9. Conforming to policy on special ordering of parts.
  10. Analyzing sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
  11. Administering a new aggressive wholesale and retail parts program to produce profit.
  12. Providing high-quality service for both outside and internal customers.
  13. Working with Operations and Service Managers to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  14. Assisting in analyzing departmental operations and storage layout for maximum effectiveness.
  15. Providing technical assistance to employees and customers.
  16. Coordinating prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork.
  17. Directing shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing.
  18. Assisting in developing sales promotions and seeking out new parts business.
  19. Ensuring all dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made.
  20. Maintaining a professional appearance.
  21. Accepting other responsibilities as requested by management.
