We are seeking a highly skilled Fortinet Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our 24x7 security operations team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our information systems against potential and actual security threats.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Safeguarding information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems
  2. Protecting system resources by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
  3. Recognizing problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations
  4. Implementing security improvements by assessing current situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements
  5. Determining security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
  6. Upgrading system by implementing and maintaining security controls
  7. Keeping users and customers informed by preparing performance reports and communicating system status
  8. Maintaining quality service by following organization standards
  9. Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications
  10. Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  11. Having the ability to perform troubleshooting on active accounts
  12. Utilizing knowledge of FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiPortal

To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need:

  1. To be an active member of a 24x7 team of Fortinet security specialists
  2. System administration skills
  3. Network security expertise
  4. Problem-solving abilities
  5. Information security policies understanding
  6. On-call network troubleshooting capabilities
  7. Firewall administration skills
  8. Network protocol knowledge

Requirements for the Position:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
  2. 2+ years of experience in designing, configuring, implementing, monitoring, and resolving issues on FortiNet FortiGuard security appliances
  3. Advanced FortiNet security certifications
  4. Industry certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, Security+ CE, CISSP or CASP
  5. Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements
  6. Hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g. Netflow, FPC), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations
  7. Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions
