Job Title: Senior Mechanical Designer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Mechanical Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, layouts, and drawings using AutoCAD and BIM software.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working with plumbing, HVAC, and fire fighting systems. They will be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints, as well as familiar with building codes, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed mechanical designs, layouts, and drawings using AutoCAD and BIM software
  • Develop and revise precise mechanical drawings and layouts for plumbing, HVAC, and fire fighting systems
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other disciplines to coordinate design intent and resolve technical issues
  • Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and assess installation feasibility
  • Prepare and update as-built drawings reflecting actual site installations and modifications
  • Generate accurate material take-offs and quantity estimations from drawings
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with relevant codes and company quality procedures
  • Mentor junior draftsmen and provide training and guidance

Requirements:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and other CAD software
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and fire fighting system design
  • Familiarity with building codes, standards (IEC, BS), and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Skilled in creating detailed piping layouts, ducting, and equipment drawings
