Carbon Market & Product Strategy Lead

We're seeking a seasoned professional to lead the integration of carbon market rules into our platform design and product roadmap. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of carbon market compliance frameworks and product development.

The Role

  • Lead Carbon Market Compliance: Guide policy integration and support the tech team in building a compliant, user-centric platform.
  • Translate Regulatory Standards: Translate evolving regulatory, compliance, and MRV standards into actionable tech features.
  • Collaborate with Tech Team: Collaborate with blockchain and frontend/backend developers to ensure climate compliance from MVP to scale.

What You'll Do

You will engage with verification bodies, regulators, and offset credit issuers, define workflows and data models aligned with standards like Verra, Gold Standard, ICVCM, etc., support design of pilot use cases and tokenisation models for credit issuance, act as a bridge between policy, climate finance, and technology teams, and contribute to go-to-market strategy and future product evolution.

Who You Are

  • Have 5+ years experience in climate policy, carbon markets, or MRV compliance.
  • Proven track record managing or advising on climate-related digital products.
  • Understanding of tech product cycles: discovery, design, delivery.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like ICVCM, ISO 14064, Article 6, VCMI, etc.
  • Strong communication and system thinking skills.
  • Bonus: experience with blockchain, climate finance startups, or digital MRV tools.
