Medical Officer Gastroenterology Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Officer to join our team as a Fellow in the Department of Medicine, specializing in Gastroenterology.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments for both inpatient and outpatient cases
  • Accurately document findings in patient records
  • Formulate and implement management plans with consultant guidance
  • Provide expertise and support for managing complex cases
  • Review patients under the supervision of consultants
  • Promptly evaluate and address gastroenterology consults
  • Develop and implement management plans under faculty supervision
  • Effectively communicate with patients and staff
  • Play a pivotal role in preparing for and assisting during endoscopic procedures
  • Document details of endoscopic procedures
  • Ensure smooth transitions of patients post-endoscopy
  • Maintain a physical presence during in-house calls
  • Supervise internal medicine residents and interns
  • Participate actively in academic activities related to gastroenterology
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in the field
  • Contribute to the education and training of medicine residents, interns, and students
Requirements

Candidates should possess:

  • An MBBS degree from an institution recognized by PMDC
  • One year of house job or internship experience
  • FCPS Medicine or equivalent examinations, or 3-year training in Gastroenterology and waiting for exams, or 4 Years training in Internal Medicine and waiting for FCPS II exams
