Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System that meets the ISO 45001 standard. This will involve ensuring that all health and safety processes align with the standard and other relevant regulations.

Your primary duties will include:
  1. Developing and maintaining comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and documentation.
  2. Conducting regular hazard identification and risk assessments to identify workplace hazards and potential risks to employee health and safety.
  3. Collaborating with relevant departments to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  4. Communicating and ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols across the organization.
  5. Leading investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  6. Implementing corrective and preventive actions and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to regulatory authorities.
  7. Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and procedures.
  8. Providing training to employees on health and safety policies, procedures, and their roles in maintaining a safe work environment.
  9. Promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
  10. Establishing and maintaining systems for monitoring and measuring health and safety performance.
  11. Analyzing data to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, and drive continuous improvement.
  12. Planning and conducting regular internal audits to assess compliance with ISO 45001 standards.
  13. Communicating health and safety performance to internal and external stakeholders.


To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field. Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is highly desirable. You should have at least 2 years of experience in implementing and managing health and safety management systems, preferably within an ISO 45001 framework. Additionally, you must have thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
