Job Overview

The Head Teacher is a pivotal role in the leadership, management, and operational success of an educational institution. Collaborating closely with regional stakeholders, they spearhead initiatives encompassing school operations, planning, development, monitoring, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Development: Foster a dynamic learning environment within the school, instilling a positive ethos that enhances student growth and development.
  2. School Development Targets: Achieve established goals in conjunction with strategic partners, focusing on increased enrollment, improved examination results, and enhanced performance in key areas of school improvement.
  3. Courageous Leadership: Serve as a model professional and lifelong learner, continuously refining skills, attitudes, and knowledge while motivating and supporting teachers and staff.
  4. Recommendations and Collaboration: Provide recommendations to senior administrators on school operations and improvement programs, actively participating in their implementation and outcomes, and collaborating with other regional schools.
  5. Organizational Compliance: Ensure adherence to the organizational vision, core ideology, policies, and procedures.
  6. School Strategic Planning: Provide leadership in developing and implementing school-based strategic plans and human resources.
  7. Student Progress Monitoring: Directly monitor and evaluate student progress through regular assessments and evaluations, focusing on key areas of improvement.
  8. In-Service Training: Coordinate ongoing professional development activities for teachers and staff.
  9. Pedagogical Leadership: Offer pedagogical guidance, mentoring, and support for teacher development, quality assurance, and curriculum implementation.
  10. Appraisal and Performance Evaluation: Effectively appraise teachers and staff based on individual performance and contributions to the school development plan and targets.
  11. Operational Efficiency: Ensure the school operates efficiently, responsibly, and cost-effectively, with all policies, processes, and systems supporting teaching and learning.
Job Requirements
  • Qualifications: A mandatory professional qualification (B.Ed/M.Ed)
  • Skills: Decision-making capabilities, people management skills, strong communication skills
