Backend Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Backend Developer with 2+ years of experience to join our team. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic and database architecture of our web applications.

  • Develop and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using either the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React for admin panels if needed, Node.js) or the Laravel framework (PHP).
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs to integrate with frontend applications and other services.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend.
  • Work with databases (MongoDB or MySQL/other relational databases) to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity.
  • Implement security best practices to protect applications from vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and development environments.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in backend development.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
  • Participate in agile development methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of proven experience in backend development.
  • Strong proficiency in either the MERN stack or the Laravel framework.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, PHPUnit).
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
