Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and federal tax regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws, financial reporting, and compliance. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tax Return Preparation: Prepare and file corporate, sales, and withholding taxes in accordance with relevant regulations.
  2. Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and federal tax regulations.
  3. Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements.
  4. Accounting and Reconciliation: Handle general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
  5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  6. Payroll and Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process payroll, manage accounts payable/receivable, and ensure timely payments.
  7. Communication: Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  8. Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest tax laws and financial regulations.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in taxation and corporate accounting.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  3. Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of tax laws, financial reporting, and compliance. Proficiency in accounting software.
  4. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Karachi, Pakistan
  • Working Days: Monday - Friday (day shift)
