Senior Database Administrator Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Database Administrator to oversee the entire lifecycle of our databases. This includes designing and implementing database structures, optimizing query performance, and ensuring high availability and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop database models, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  2. Implement and manage database backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  3. Optimize database query performance through indexing and caching strategies.
  4. Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database-driven applications.
  5. Ensure database security and integrity by enforcing access controls and data encryption.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in database administration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in SQL Server and database modeling.
  • Proficiency in database scripting languages such as T-SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Strong understanding of database normalization, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery tools such as SQL Server Backup and Azure Recovery Services.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based database platforms such as Amazon RDS and Google Cloud SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
