Safety Professional

This role is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment without risk to health. A comprehensive Health & Safety framework must be implemented, maintained, and regularly reviewed to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
The ideal candidate will develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date health and safety records, including training and incident reports. They will also provide regular reports to senior management and participate in monthly meetings to ensure that health and safety priorities are aligned with business objectives.
A key aspect of this role is the development of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and training programs to ensure a culture of safety throughout the organization. The candidate will also stay informed about relevant health, safety, and welfare legislation and communicate changes to the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a structured program of health and safety training, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with external health and safety consultants to provide training programs and services.
- Regularly report to senior management on health and safety activities.
The successful candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to chair meetings and distribute minutes. They will also be able to liaise with external consultants and suppliers to access expertise and resources.
