Education Coordinator Position: Collaborative Leadership Role in Balochistan

Seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Education Coordination Officer.

About the Role

This position is responsible for facilitating strategic coordination with provincial government counterparts, UN agencies, development partners, and local implementing partners to ensure timely implementation of GPE programme activities. The successful candidate will be tasked with participating in Local Education Group (LEG) meetings and coordinating its activities, including organizing joint sector reviews and ensuring inclusive participation.

The ideal candidate will have comprehensive expertise across the project lifecycle, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. Strong organization and coordination skills, as well as effective communication skills, are essential for this role. Experience with monitoring and evaluation methodologies and ability to draft high-quality documents and reports are also required.

Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate strategic coordination with provincial government counterparts, UN agencies, development partners, and local implementing partners to ensure timely implementation of GPE programme activities.
  2. Participate in Local Education Group (LEG) meetings and coordinate its activities, including organizing joint sector reviews and ensuring inclusive participation.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, international organizations, and local implementing partners.
  4. Collaborate with other Grant Agents (UNICEF and World Bank) to synchronize SCG and STG activities and align with provincial priorities.
  5. Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of SCG activities and ensure progress aligns with objectives.
  6. Represent UNESCO in United Nations Provincial Programme Team (PPT) meetings and School Education Department forums.

What We Are Looking For

  • Advanced university degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project planning, implementation, management, and coordination within the education sector.
  • Experience working with government agencies, international organizations, UN agencies, or other key stakeholders in the education sector.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work effectively, set priorities, and work within tight deadlines.
