We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This role is responsible for designing and maintaining a robust data platform, building scalable data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources, and collaborating with teams to deliver effective data solutions.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in SQL, Python, AWS data pipelines, and experience in the fintech industry. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys simplifying tasks, and can work independently to prioritize tasks and break down complex problems into actionable steps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain a data platform that is accurate, secure, available, and fast.
  • Engineer efficient, adaptable, and scalable data pipelines to process data.
  • Integrate and maintain diverse data sources, including databases, APIs, SaaS, files, logs, and events.
  • Create standardized datasets to support a wide variety of use cases.
  • Develop subject-matter expertise in tables, systems, and processes.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure product changes integrate well with the data platform.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholder teams to understand their challenges and provide data solutions to meet their goals.
  • Perform data quality checks and automate quality control processes.
Requirements
  • At least 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with Star/Snowflake schema design, data modeling, data pipelining, and MLOps.
  • Experience with Data Warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift).
  • Experience with AWS data pipelines (Lambda, AWS Glue, Step Functions, etc.).
  • Experience in the fintech or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one major programming language like Python or Java.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Looker or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, Jupyter notebooks, Git, GitHub, and JIRA.
  • Attention to detail to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Ability to simplify, automate tasks, and build reusable components, applying good judgment in adopting new technologies.
  • End-to-end data platform support experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with analysts, business, and engineering stakeholders.
