Our team is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electric Vehicle Lab Technician to join our research and development center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, electronics, or mechatronics and experience working in an R&D or testing lab.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the research, testing, and validation of electric vehicles (EVs), battery systems, and related technologies. This includes conducting performance, safety, and endurance testing of batteries, cells, powertrains, and EV subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct performance, safety, and endurance testing of batteries, cells, powertrains, and EV subsystems.
  • Support testing and validation of 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler electric vehicles.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment (e.g., battery cyclers, thermal chambers, DAQ systems).
  • Assist in the development and execution of standard test procedures (STPs) as per IEC/ISO automotive standards (e.g., IEC 62133, IEC 62840, etc.).
  • Monitor, collect, and analyze test data, and generate detailed technical reports.
  • Collaborate with design and systems teams to support product development cycles.
  • Ensure lab safety protocols and compliance with internal and external safety standards.
  • Support integration and testing of battery swapping systems and charging infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot issues in test setups and instrumentation.
  • Assist in the development of new testing capabilities and automation systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduate to 1 year of hands-on experience in an R&D or testing lab (preferably in EV, automotive, or battery testing).
  • Familiarity with electric vehicle architecture, battery management systems (BMS), and power electronics.
  • Experience with data acquisition software and tools (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
  • Understanding of international EV and battery safety/testing standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and documentation abilities.
