The ideal candidate should possess expertise in complex code bases, dating back 10-15 years, with familiarity in online shops. They should also have a proven track record of crafting and implementing design changes, staying up-to-date with the latest web development trends and best practices, as well as knowledge of Google's ranking guidelines to avoid any potential losses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diving deep into our intricate code base and databases
  • Reducing page numbers from 300,000 to 60,000
  • Migrating our website from PHP 7.4 to at least version 8.x
  • Implementing a new checkout process featuring a state-of-the-art payment solution
  • Carrying out multiple UX and design enhancements
  • Identifying and proposing solutions for design and UX issues
  • Pinpointing and resolving security vulnerabilities
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation related to our website
