Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet annual performance targets assigned by the Department Head.
  • Contribute to ensuring a high-quality teaching and learning environment for students through targeted initiatives.
  • Teach assigned courses according to faculty workload policy, with opportunities for curriculum development and enhancement.
  • Continuously enhance teaching and learning skills, contributing to the planning of educational programs.
  • Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons, promoting student engagement and critical thinking.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements where appropriate, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Assess student work and examinations, offering constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student academic progress for internal evaluation purposes.
  • Support student growth and development through individual mentoring and coaching.
  • Utilize digital platforms and software to update data and enhance the learning experience.
  • Integrate Islamic and ethical values into teaching practices, reflecting our institution's mission and values.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees, contributing to strategic decision-making and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure teaching content and delivery methods align with our institution's vision and address issues related to staff and students.
  • Monitor and promote student attendance in classes, labs, and practicals, maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Engage in scholarly research and publication, disseminating findings through reputable channels.
  • Seek practical applications of research outcomes, enhancing the relevance and impact of academic work.
  • Promote new and applied knowledge of the discipline through peer-reviewed publications, advancing the field and contributing to global scholarship.
  • Lead independent research as principal investigator and project leader, guiding teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert review and assessment services, supporting peer evaluation and quality assurance.
  • Act as a line manager, supervising others' work, including research teams, projects, or PhD supervision when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Head within the scope of this role.
