AS400 Developer with RPG Expertise

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced RPG programmer to develop, maintain, and optimize applications on the IBM iSeries (AS400) platform.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, writing, and testing efficient code using RPG IV, ILE, and Free Format. This role requires a professional with proven analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using RPG on the AS400 platform.
- Write efficient, reusable, and scalable code to meet business requirements.
- Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain and upgrade existing systems, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
- Integrate AS400 systems with other platforms and technologies.
- Perform unit, integration, and system testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes.
- Provide support to end-users, resolving technical issues and queries.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in AS400 development and RPG programming.
- Proficiency in RPG IV, RPG ILE, and RPG Free Format.
- Knowledge of CL programming and DB2/400.
- Familiarity with business processes and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
