About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our laboratory services. This is a critical role that requires strong business acumen, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in administrative and operational affairs of running a laboratory. They will be responsible for developing strategies to drive volume growth, bolstering brand recognition and loyalty, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain day-to-day operations of Collection Points & STAT laboratories in assigned regions.
  • Manage inventory control and supplies for Collection Points / STAT laboratories.
  • Develop strategies to drive volume growth of laboratory programs.
  • Bolster brand recognition and loyalty through targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Organize Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs to enhance awareness and knowledge among healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure efficient asset management and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Support development and execution of short-term and long-term objectives for laboratory operations.
  • Enhance quality laboratory services and improve accessibility.
  • Ensure compliance with CAP/JCIA standards through regular audits.
  • Identify staffing needs and prepare staffing plans.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree from a reputable university, preferably in Business Administration or an equivalent field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in administrative and operational affairs of running a laboratory.
  • Strong command over technical and administrative aspects of Clinical Laboratory operations.
  • Ability to effectively prepare budgets, manage resources, and monitor financial performance.
  • Business marketing skills and ability to develop partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills to understand and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to make timely decisions, demonstrate a positive attitude towards change, and cope with work pressure.
  • Ability to handle large teams and foster effective cross-functional collaboration.
