Project Manager Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned project leader to oversee our technology projects from planning to execution. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and experience in managing cross-functional teams.

  • Project Planning and Execution:

    • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and milestones with precision.
    • Create detailed project plans and timelines that ensure timely completion and satisfaction of project objectives.
    • Closely monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing potential risks and issues promptly.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, manage, and mentor a diverse team of developers, designers, and external partners effectively.
    • Collaborate with teams utilizing various technologies, including Flutter for frontend, SQL/PostgreSQL for databases, Java/JavaScript/Python for backend.
    • Identify and recruit key talent needed for the project, ensuring the right skills and experience are in place to meet technical and business requirements.

  • Solution Development:

    • Oversight of IoT device integration, POS system integration, and accounting software integration for tax filing automation is required.
    • Collaboration with stakeholders, including small businesses, accounting professionals (CPAs), and technical teams, to ensure seamless functionality of all solution components.
    • Ensure the technical architecture of the project is scalable, secure, and easy to maintain.

  • Client & Stakeholder Communication:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, partners, and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, roadblocks, and key developments.
    • Ensure client and stakeholder expectations are managed effectively, and gather feedback to refine and improve the product.

  • Quality and Risk Management:

    • Oversee the testing and QA process to ensure the quality of the final product.
    • Proactively manage risks, resolving issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably with experience in managing technology projects (preferably in IoT, API integrations, or financial software).
  • Strong knowledge of software development processes and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Experience working with diverse technologies such as Flutter, Java/JavaScript/Python, SQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with IoT ecosystems, POS systems, and automation technologies is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with different stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with small business clients, tax automation, or accounting software is a plus.
  • PMP, ScrumMaster, or similar certifications are desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in leading projects related to financial technology, accounting, or tax automation.
  • Experience working with cloud services and APIs.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards related to financial data and tax filing.
