Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate strategic plans to support tactical initiatives.
  • Direct the implementation of business strategies.
  • Develop and implement financial and tax strategies.
  • Manage capital request and budgeting processes.
  • Oversee the issuance of financial information and report results to stakeholders.
  • Analyze monthly, half-yearly, and annual accounts and compare performance to industry standards.

Operational Excellence

  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
  • Maintain close relationships with all members of the management team.
  • Oversee transaction processing systems and implement operational best practices.
  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
  • Establish and monitor reliable control systems.
  • Ensure record keeping meets regulatory requirements.

Management

  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Oversee treasury department operations, including organizational design.

Funds Management

  • Forecast cash flow positions, borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.
  • Evaluate ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
  • Maintain banking relationships.
  • Determine the company's proper capital structure.
  • Arrange equity and debt financing.

Budgeting

  • Prepare budgets and report variances to stakeholders.
  • Assist stakeholders in formulating overall strategic direction.
  • Conduct cost reduction analyses across the organization.
  • Review competitor performance and report key issues to stakeholders.
  • Interpret financial results and recommend improvement activities.
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend changes.
  • Participate in target costing activities to meet predetermined price goals.
  • Determine product pricing based on features offered and competitor pricing.
  • Create additional analyses and reports as requested by stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Expert in Financial Reporting.
  • Proficient in Computer Applications and communication tools.
  • Pro User of Accounting Applications.
  • Sound Knowledge of IFRS.
