Are you a seasoned leader in mobile application development looking to take your skills to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Technical Apps to lead our cross-functional teams and drive innovation.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. As a Director of Technical Apps, you will be responsible for managing teams of Android and iOS developers, overseeing technical architecture, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage high-performing teams of mobile developers; set objectives; conduct performance reviews; foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  2. Technical Oversight & Architecture: Oversee technical architecture and development processes; ensure best practices in coding, performance, and security; guide adoption of scalable architectures and modern methodologies.
  3. Project & Product Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver apps; manage timelines and releases; implement Agile methodologies.
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Backend, DevOps, and QA teams; align roadmaps with business goals; coordinate with marketing and analytics teams for data-driven decisions.
RequirementsTechnical Skills
  • 8+ years in mobile development (Android & iOS), with 3+ years in leadership
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Swift, Objective-C
  • Experience with Android Jetpack, MVVM, Room; iOS frameworks like SwiftUI, CoreData
  • Experience with SDK integrations, APIs, Firebase, push notifications
  • Expertise in CI/CD, automated testing, release management
  • Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, Firebase
Leadership & Management Skills
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban
  • Track record of delivering complex mobile apps
