Director of Clinical Operations

Hospital Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of hospital operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating the hospital strategic plan with operations to achieve optimal results. This includes management of resources associated with hospital operation to deliver high-quality healthcare services and achieve financial sustainability.

• Develop an operational plan to provide exceptional patient care and increase patient numbers in outpatient and inpatient departments.
• Evaluate the operational effectiveness of the hospital, providing necessary guidelines to the team to ensure seamless functioning.
• Prepare proposals for new projects, including construction, renovation, general repair, and maintenance, aligned with the hospital's five-year plan.
• Participate in strategic and operational planning under the leadership of the CEO of Teaching Hospitals.
• Ensure competent human resources based on workload and healthcare standards within approved budgets and oversee staff training and development for outstanding performance.
• Implement initiatives for transforming Hospital culture, promoting positivity, supporting others, sharing knowledge, taking responsibilities, flexibility for change, and empowerment, to deliver excellent patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with communities, educational institutions, and NGOs for Healthcare awareness campaigns, arranging Medical campuses and attracting patients for the hospital.
• Provide leadership support to the Manager Operations to ensure best-in-class facility management, Ambulance Services, Transport, Hostels, and Cafeteria for the best healthcare and support services for patients and staff.
• Implement preventive maintenance plans for biomedical equipment to ensure their smooth functioning in the hospital.
• Manage supply chain processes for Medical and Non-Medical items to ensure smooth hospital functioning.
• Contribute to budget planning and facilitate CEO Teaching Hospitals in securing approval of the operating budget for the financial year.
• Ensure Hospitals' financials are managed within budget guidelines and according to financial policies and compliance to laws.
• Achieve Revenue and Profitability targets through high-quality patient care and closely monitor progress on a regular basis.
• Deliver cost-effective healthcare services by designing and implementing process improvements, effective purchasing, and optimal resource utilization.
• Integrate technology and hospital operations via HIMS/SAP systems.
• Demonstrate commitment to delivering the best medical and nursing care to patients and plan rounds of OPD, Wards, OT, Pharmacy, and Lab for consistent monitoring and improvement.
• Promote the hospital's best healthcare services through marketing strategies, focusing on social media to achieve revenue targets with consistent growth of panel patients and cash patients as defined in the RHS five-year plan.
• Implement ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards and conduct periodic audits to achieve highest scores without deviations.
• Develop operational plans for high-quality patient care and ensure outstanding patient experience in outpatient and inpatient services through quality medical and nursing care.
• Manage quality documentation, conduct quality audits, and implement audit points in coordination with Directorate TQM.
• Execute quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs according to PMDC/CPSP guidelines.
• Implement Continuous Medical Education Programs with mandatory training hours for Medical and Nursing staff and measure its impact on patient care.
