Senior Research Assistant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Assistant to support our ongoing research projects in the field of women and child health.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Research Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting interviews, writing up detailed notes, and training junior research staff in research/interviewing skills.

You will facilitate meetings among the research team, manage field work, and develop and conduct regular trainings of Lady Health Workers and Community Health Workers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting interviews and writing up detailed notes.
  • Managing field work and ensuring effective use of time.
  • Facilitating meetings among the research team and junior research staff.
  • Training junior research staff in research/interviewing skills.
  • Liaising with administrative personnel regarding logistics for field work.
  • Developing and conducting regular trainings of Lady Health Workers and Community Health Workers.
  • Providing supervision and support for junior research staff.
  • Raising awareness about child health-related issues within the community.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • One to two years of experience in a related field.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt to diverse environments.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and stress.
