Piping Design Expert Wanted

We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer/Draftsman with 5 to 10 years of experience in designing and drafting piping systems for industrial or infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in 2D/3D CAD software, possess a good understanding of piping codes and standards, and be capable of independently producing piping layouts, isometrics, and bill of materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed piping layout drawings, isometric drawings, and pipe support drawings using AutoCAD, CADWorx, Plant 3D, or similar software.
  • Develop and update P&IDs, plot plans, general arrangements (GAs), and fabrication drawings.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical, and process teams to ensure alignment and clash-free design.
  • Interpret engineering specifications, piping material specifications (PMS), and vendor drawings.
  • Participate in design reviews, model walk-throughs, and site surveys as required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).
  • Generate material take-offs (MTOs) and assist with procurement documentation.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in piping design and drafting, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, etc.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, CADWorx, PDMS, SP3D, or other 2D/3D modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with ASME B31.1/B31.3, ISO, ANSI, and other piping codes.
  • Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks) is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of piping materials, fittings, valves, and fabrication practices.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and in teams.
