Software Development Specialist

A software development specialist at a leading IT firm is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing server applications using various software platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in writing backend components and Restful APIs, as well as a strong understanding of security standards and compliances.

  • Analyze business requirements to ensure effective solutions
  • Estimate assigned tasks to meet project deadlines
  • Write high-quality code and unit tests to ensure reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals
  • Develop and maintain systems by fixing existing issues and updating issue tracking software
  • Provide regular status updates and communicate effectively with clients
  • Control versioning of code and research new technologies to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Minimum 3-6 years of related experience in the professional industry
  • Extensive experience with Python using Flask framework
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft technologies and tools
  • Knowledge and experience with Azure and AWS
  • Understanding of relational and schemaless databases such as Oracle/SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
  • Ability to create database structures for required functionality
  • Experience with writing unit tests and ensuring minimum 90% test coverage
  • Knowledge of collaboration tools like GitHub and JIRA
