Senior DevOps Engineer: Expert in Automation and Cloud Management

This is a highly technical role that requires experience with automation, configuration management, and deployment pipelines within a DevOps environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • The job incumbent will be responsible for coordinating with developer and IT staff to manage the product release.
  • Code, test, and implement configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements.
  • Involved in the full software development life cycle in coordination with other engineers, QA, and designers.
  • Generate innovative ideas and support innovative approaches that enhance service.
  • Proficient in scripting, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with IT NOC team on a need basis and give helpdesk/support to IT staff.
  • Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes.
  • Oversee database operations, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and replication strategies to ensure data integrity and availability across environments.

It is expected that the successful candidate has at least 4+ years of hands-on experience in automation, configuration management, and deployment pipelines within a DevOps environment. A strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and its integration with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), is also required.

Desired Skill Set
  • Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or similar technologies to provision and manage cloud resources.
  • Set up monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana or ELK Stack to track application performance and ensure system health.
  • Provide in-depth knowledge and administration of Linux systems, including performance tuning, shell scripting, and system monitoring.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure on Azure or AWS, including resource optimization, cost management, and security best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python and shell scripting).
  • Hands on experience on Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, helm charts and ArgoCD or similar.
  • Advance level knowledge of web servers including Nginx and Apache.
