Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

  • Install, support and maintain new server hardware and software infrastructure;
  • Manage email, anti-spam and virus protection systems;
  • Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords for network access;
  • Monitor network usage and ensure the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers;
  • Suggest and provide IT solutions to business and management problems;
  • Ensure that all IT equipment complies with industry standards;
  • Analyse and resolve faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password;
  • Undertake routine preventative measures and implement, maintain and monitor network security, particularly if the network connects to the internet;
  • Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence;
  • Supervise other staff, such as help-desk technicians;
  • Work closely with other departments/organisations and collaborate with other IT staff;
  • Plan and implement future IT developments and undertake project work;
  • Manage the website and keep internal networks running;
  • Monitor the use of the web by employees.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required;
  • Current CCNA and/or CCDA certification;
  • Cisco Unified Communication Manager configuration and infrastructure a plus;
  • Windows Server 2003 & 2008; Exchange and/or SQL experience a plus;
  • Additional certifications required by management;
  • Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support;
  • Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls;
  • Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal.
