Exploration Geologist Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Exploration Geologist to contribute to the identification and evaluation of new exploration opportunities aligned with our strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the generation of projects or New Exploration Opportunities (NEO), assessing properties and/or advanced exploration projects for Tier 1 or Tier 2 gold or copper-gold deposits.
• Develop and conduct exploration programs through the pipeline of exploration projects, focusing on project generation and target delineation.
• Oversee the development of exploration programs in the field, ensuring good practices in data capture and management, and storing data in our database with relevant metadata.
• Deliver technical and geological information from exploration projects according to geoinformatics department standards.
• Integrate geological, geochemical, and geophysical information to define pragmatic and robust exploration programs.
• Prepare written reports and presentations on technical visits and progress reports in English, including conclusions and recommendations.
• Conduct technical visits to other projects/sites and prepare technical reports.
• Generate and/or request technical visits and explorations season reports drafted by the Technical Team.
• Promote advanced geoscientific knowledge among team members and organize learning instances on mineralized systems exploration.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement based on good business practices required by us from exploration works.
• Promote respectful interaction with direct reports and encourage teamwork in a collaborative environment.
• Supervise multidiscipline teams to ensure timely and correct execution of exploration programs across all stages.
• Communicate project objectives, program, and progress status to other areas, highlighting implications.
• Manage project finances to execute within budget constraints.
• Aid activities ensuring necessary permits for project development.
• Enforce Health and Safety System standards, promoting risk prevention culture through visible leadership.
• Comply with Code of Conduct, Anti-bribery and Anti-corruption policy, Human Rights policy, and relevant legislation.
• Meet Environmental Management System policies and procedures, promoting environmental care.
• Meet Community Relations policies and procedures, encouraging respectful treatment of neighboring communities.

Requirements:

• Geologist-Engineer degree.
• Postgraduate degree desirable.
• At least 2 years of experience in exploration.
• Experience in gold-copper exploration.
• Knowledge about hydrothermal alteration types and distribution/zoning in gold-silver epithermal deposits, copper-gold and copper-molybdenum porphyries.
• Conceptual geological models of gold-silver and copper-gold, copper-molybdenum porphyry-epithermal mineral deposits.
• Leapfrog, ArcGisPro software skills.
• Geophysical methods and their application, such as CSAMT, IP-resistivity.
• Safety, health, environmental standards, and community knowledge.
