Software Development Project Manager Job Description

The Software Development Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of software projects. This position is responsible for managing development projects from inception to completion, including quality assurance and maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple software platforms/projects concurrently for clients, therapists, and enterprise clients.
  • Maintain clear project plans and timelines according to client requirements.
  • Oversee front-end and back-end software development using agile methodology.
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve obstacles, improve workflow, and provide timely feedback.
  • Advocate best engineering practices, design principles, coding standards, and drive high-quality software development across all phases.
  • Utilize tools like Jira, airtable, and others as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in software, computer technology, computer science, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development project management with a proven track record.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with full life cycle software development, including initial discovery, proposal writing, specification writing, agile development, QA testing, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Practical knowledge of software engineering best practices and coding standards.
  • Experience with JIRA or similar agile development tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
