ORIC Executive

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our research initiatives, develop strategic plans, and secure funding opportunities.

This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, at least 10 years of relevant experience, and strong connections with the local business community, entrepreneurs, and social networks.

The ideal candidate will possess:

1. A proven track record of managing and growing non-profit organizations.
2. Effective leadership skills and ability to mobilize stakeholders.
3. Strong ties with local government, business/industry, entrepreneur, university, and social communities.

Main Duties

Developing Research Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive plans to enhance research progress.

Leading Operational Activities: Oversee the operational aspects of the ORIC (Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization).

Collaborating with Stakeholders: Work closely with various departments, including the Office of Sponsored Research and University Science & Technology Park.

Managing Intellectual Property: Monetize royalty streams from licenses and oversee the IP webpage.

Promoting Commercialization Efforts: Collaborate with the Development Office and Principal Liaison for Technical Marketing and Licensing to promote Institute IP success stories and enhance commercialization efforts.

Key Qualifications

A PhD in a relevant field with expertise in research and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.

Compensation Package: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
