Job Title: Media Content Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled media content specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing and production, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit film footage to meet director's specifications.
  • Rearrange scenes to create a cohesive narrative.
  • Work with raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to create a polished final product.
  • Determine which camera angles to use and insert music, sound, or optical effects as needed.
  • Use nonlinear digital editing systems to edit clips and work with work prints to organize scenes and transitions.
  • Create edit decision lists to correspond to edge numbers.
  • Edit film for commercials, station identification, and public service messages on television films and tapes.
Additional Tasks:
  • Oversee the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing.
  • Consult with the director, producer, and/or client throughout the post-production process.
  • Experiment with styles and techniques, including the design of graphic elements.
  • Select the most effective shot of a scene in terms of drama, story relevance, or continuity.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in video editing and filming.
  • Self-starter who can troubleshoot and work independently.
  • Ability to travel for shooting on location.
  • Solid understanding of typography and a clean design aesthetic.
