Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced systems engineer to lead our cloud infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreements as per contractual obligations
  • Take the lead on urgent issues and projects, communicate status updates, and assign necessary resources as required
  • Document system configurations, processes, and tools used by the team to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity
  • Design, develop, and implement environments for quality assurance, development, testing, and production
  • Deploy and support applications on cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
  • Implement infrastructure security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities
  • Provide direct server support during deployment and general production operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices
  • Design, implement, and test agreed-upon infrastructures, evaluating their effectiveness and efficiency
  • Automate deployment of Linux applications, system configurations, and security settings using scripting languages and automation tools
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience in professional industry, with expertise in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins, Azure, App Center Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, Subversion, Docker, or relevant tools
  • Familiarity with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and NoSQL data platforms such as MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Redis
  • Experience working with Windows Servers on VMWare, IIS, MSSQL, MongoDB, and other cloud platforms
  • Advanced scripting experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, and PowerShell
  • Strong experience with Linux distributions including Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
