Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage financial records for insurance transactions, policies, and claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  2. Mastery of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage to streamline financial processes.
  3. Handle insurance-specific accounts, including premium income, claims reserves, and commission tracking.
  4. Prepare financial statements, budgets, and reports, reconciling accounts and overseeing financial transactions.
  5. Analyze financial data to support decision-making and inform business strategy.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, with experience in applying them to insurance industry practices.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial regulations.
  3. Proven experience in insurance industry accounting, with expertise in property, auto, life, health, or business insurance.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software, with ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
  5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with ability to work independently and within a team.
