Social Media Officer Job Description

This role is perfect for someone who loves staying up-to-date on the latest social media trends and has a passion for creating engaging content. As a Social Media Officer, you'll be responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand, providing support to customers, and 'soft selling' the product through social media marketing efforts. Your goal will be to achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic, and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
  2. Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (text, images, video) that builds meaningful connections with our audience.
  3. Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of our social content.
  4. Moderate all user-generated content in line with our moderation policy for each community.
  5. Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.
  6. Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then acting on the information.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, or Public Relations.
  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist.
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO, and SEO.
  • Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels.
  • Positive attitude, detail-oriented, and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
