Role Overview

Job Description

This role plays a crucial part in the operation of gas dispatch, ensuring that gas is delivered to consumers and distribution networks according to their requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Unit Head in managing the gas system and LHF (Low-Pressure Flare), and will work closely with senior staff on pipeline targets and control room activities.

The position involves coordinating with seniors to achieve daily operational plans for gas systems and LHF maintenance. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for obtaining transmission network parameters, calculating line pack transmission, and preparing daily reports on sales and purchase.

Daily supply strategies will be discussed with seniors, taking into account pipeline pressure and volume forecasts. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring gas control system data, ensuring gas balance and demand forecasting.

The role requires monitoring transmission system pressures at PODs, SMSs, and HQ compressors, as well as collecting hourly data on flow, pressure, temperature, and LNG supply to support safe operations. The successful candidate must ensure gas delivery commitments per GSA contracts and report data accordingly.

Requirements
  • Engineering Graduate preferably in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) registration is mandatory for Engineers

Skillset should include ability to maintain and monitor gas control system data, perform technical analysis, and prepare reports. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role.
