Job Description
As a Transport Planning Associate, you will oversee transport planning from Port Qasim Karachi for the southern region of Pakistan. Your responsibilities include managing internal transfers between factories, enhancing aligned processes and routes to drive efficient deliveries, and collaborating with stakeholders across the network.

Daily Responsibilities
• Execute daily transport requirements, ensuring on-time dispatches and minimizing vehicle halting. Communicate timely updates to relevant stakeholders.

• Monitor AI camera observations for the dedicated fleet, plan and execute driver training based on findings.

• Lead inbound and outbound operations by planning resources adequately, including material handling operators and labor, adhering to safety protocols.

• Compile and update data on key activities such as overtime, labor productivity, and material handling utilization.

• Prepare and oversee the monthly inventory reconciliation report with the team, ensuring proper sign-offs.

• Coordinate with sales and customer service teams for smooth ordering and execution.

• Oversee the monthly internal shifting plan in collaboration with demand and supply planners, ensuring supply execution aligns with changing circumstances.

• Ensure the supply of empty pallets to production and take corrective action in case of any shortage well in advance.

• Maintain FEFO (First Expired, First Out) status control while loading.

• Ensure compliance with all operations according to SOPs.

• Implement Good Warehouse Practices and the Nestle Food Safety Management System in the distribution center.

• Maintain clear and timely communication with internal teams, transporters, and team leaders regarding transport-related queries.

Key Skills and Qualifications
• Prior experience in transport planning, hands-on expertise in analytics, and inventory management are essential.

• Effective communication skills are crucial for coordinating with various stakeholders, including internal and external team members.

• The ability to identify and resolve issues or challenges that may arise during transport is vital.

• Prioritizing tasks, setting realistic timelines, and ensuring timely delivery are crucial for success in this role.

• Being adaptable and flexible in dealing with unexpected situations is important for success.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
