Accounting Expert Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting expert to join our team as a Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to take their career to the next level.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations: Process financial transactions, maintain accuracy in the general ledger, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Tax Advisory: Prepare VAT returns, manage VAT calculations, and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Tax Consulting: Collaborate with the tax team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of both corporate and individual tax returns.
  • Mentorship: Review the work of junior staff and provide mentorship on accounting processes, VAT calculations, and tax return preparation.
  • Financial Insights: Assist in creating financial reports, analyze trends, and provide insights to management.
  • Professional Development: Keep abreast of accounting principles, tax regulations, and relevant industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • CA or ACCA qualified accountant.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working remotely with a UK-based accounting firm.
  • Proven proficiency in accounting software, including Xero, FreeAgent, Sage Line 50, VT, and Taxcalc.
  • Experience in data migration from Sage Line 50 to Xero is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of VAT, accounting principles, and UK tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff.
  • A proactive, results-oriented team player with a positive attitude.
  • Experience using video conferencing and collaboration tools, such as MS Teams, for remote work is an advantage.
