We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support our AWS-based data pipelines. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex data workflows while ensuring data integrity and pipeline continuity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and other data services to investigate job failures, re-run ETL jobs, and support production workloads.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting AWS data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena, Redshift, or Airflow.
  • Investigating job failures, analyzing CloudWatch logs, and collaborating with teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Re-running failed jobs and retrying data ingestion processes while ensuring data consistency.
  • Working closely with engineers and data architects to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Maintaining documentation of troubleshooting steps, common issues, and resolutions.
  • Participating in incident response and recovery procedures as needed.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Up to 2+ years of experience in Data Processing / ETL.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Athena, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data querying and processing.
  • Familiarity with PySpark and ETL development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve data processing failures.
