Financial Bookkeeper Position

Ongoing job opening for a highly skilled financial bookkeeper at Optimus Consulting. The position involves accurate and efficient bookkeeping services for our clients based in the UK.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong foundation in accounting, preferably from a UK-based company, along with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Main duties include:

  1. Completing daily bookkeeping tasks with meticulous care
  2. Preparing and submitting VAT returns in a timely manner
  3. Maintaining accurate records of account reconciliations and financial statements
  4. Compiling year-end working papers and trial balances
  5. Supporting the completion of annual accounts and corporation tax submissions
  6. Overseeing month-end payroll processes and confirming adherence to relevant laws

You will receive training on UK-specific tax requirements. Required qualifications include proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks Online, VT Transaction, and Xero, as well as basic knowledge of Excel.
