The role of a Highway Project Manager is to oversee the performance of Section Supervisors, guiding and coordinating the assembly, delivery, training, and warranty service of equipment with end-users. This involves controlling and monitoring machine operation, maintenance, and repair procedures, as well as managing parts stock positions.

Effective business relations and networking are essential for this position, requiring collaboration with principals/suppliers and customers to ensure timely payments. Additionally, the right resources must be recruited to increase productivity, and frequent trainings should be provided to operators, supervisors, and technicians to effectively use and maintain machines according to manufacturer guidelines.

To achieve high performance levels, the team must be motivated using effective tools, and suggestions for improving service and parts availability should be made to meet customer needs and deadlines while minimizing downtime. The manager also contributes to the development of customer service procedures, policies, and standards as required.

Visits to different locations are necessary to advise on proper machine usage, investigate complex problems, and maintain records of correspondence. Proper utilization of service vehicles, tools, and service manuals is also crucial, along with ensuring an optimum stock of parts in section warehouses and their replenishment.

Requirements

Age group: 40 - 50 years
Education: Engineering Graduate / B.Tech. / Automotive Engineering Qualifications
Experience: 15 - 20 years experience in similar function
