Job Description

Momentum Technologies seeks a candidate with analytical skills and experience in technical writing and functional testing for web-based applications. The ideal candidate will work on documentation, functional and integration testing, and defect tracking throughout the software development life cycle.

The role involves collaborating with product managers and developers to ensure clear understanding of requirement-related deliverables and necessary testing is completed to meet requirements.

The successful candidate will ensure consistent quality by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practice (GAMP) systems; validating processes; and providing documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a dynamic environment with knowledge of Agile and SCRUM methodology.
  • Extraction of features from user stories.
  • Document test cases, requirements, and scripts for manual and automated testing.
  • Proven analytical ability and strong communication skills, including proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Preparation of test plans and testing software programs & documentation.
  • Develop high-quality, detailed, and well-structured test cases from user stories.
  • Execution of test cases and reporting testing activity to the manager(s).
  • Work with application developers to fix any identified problems.
  • Work with the Product Manager to gather business and functional requirements and document them.
  • Prepare and assist in providing meaningful reviews in the creation of error logs, bug reports, and recommend fixes for them.
  • Excellent skills in planning, control, scheduling, and launching of QA/QC activities during SDLC.
  • Conduct compatibility tests with other software programs and multiple operating systems & environments.
  • Willingness and aptitude to work with various new infrastructure technologies as required.
  • Out-of-the-box thinker; can perform other duties as deemed relevant based upon experience.
  • Appraise customers' requirements and ensure they are satisfied.
  • Report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate action.
  • Write Software Requirements Specifications (SRS).
  • Document anomalies and issues.
  • Maintain a database of software defects.
  • Examine code and execution of code in various environments.
  • Verify specific actions or functions of code.
  • Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications.
  • Participate in application planning meetings.
  • Ensure data integrity standards.
  • Perform reviews, walkthroughs, or inspections.
  • Review current standards and policies.
  • Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation.
