We are seeking a skilled Testing and Commissioning Specialist to join our team on a multi-year contract basis.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Developing and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the reliability and functionality of automation systems.
  2. Troubleshooting and resolving complex automation issues, optimizing system performance, and minimizing downtime.
  3. Conducting regular system maintenance, including upgrades, backups, and configuration activities.
  4. Providing training and support to operations teams on the proper use and maintenance of automation systems.
  5. Documenting all processes, configurations, and changes related to automation systems.
  6. Preparing progress and root cause analysis reports.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  1. Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field of automation as a PLC/RTU programmer and commissioning specialist, preferably on water and wastewater projects, oil and gas, and infrastructure.
  3. Experience working with various PLC platforms and RTUs such as Schneider M580, Rockwell Control & Compact Logix, Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500, PCS-7, WinCC SCADA, and TBOX RTU.
  4. Knowledge of open communication protocols used in automation like Modbus Serial, Modbus RTU, BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQTT, DNP3, etc.
  5. Familiarity with control panel wiring and instrumentation.
  6. Ability to read documents and drawings related to control systems, i.e., P&IDs, layouts, and control panel drawings, and troubleshoot wiring issues.
  7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  8. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. UPDA certification.
  11. Proficiency in MS Office.
  12. Preference for an international driving license.

Note: A thorough understanding of automation systems is essential for this role.
