Job Description

This position involves leveraging knowledge of database administration principles to design, implement, and maintain database systems on Azure SQL. Additionally, it entails monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal results.

The ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of SQL, T-SQL, and database design principles, along with experience in performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries.

Responsibilities
  1. Acquire comprehensive knowledge of existing SQL Server DB structure on premises
  2. Design, implement, and maintain database systems on Azure SQL
  3. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance
  4. Manage backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and security
  5. Collaborate with software development teams to optimize database queries
  6. Conduct regular database maintenance and updates
  7. Prepare documentation related to database procedures and processes
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in database administration, specifically with Azure SQL
  • Strong understanding of SQL, T-SQL, and database design principles
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Fluent English required
