Job Title: Advanced Investment Portfolio Data Analyst

Overview

We are seeking an experienced data analyst to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced portfolio analytical tools. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Python programming, SQL database querying, and data visualization.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement end-to-end data solutions, including data extraction, transformation, and visualization.
  2. Automate the integration of Bloomberg AIM trades into the investment management dashboard using Python or SQL.
  3. Develop robust and scalable queries and scripts in Python or SQL to replicate and enhance trade detail updates and generate analytical reports.
  4. Migrate existing reports and data sources currently used in the investment management dashboard to Bloomberg or alternative centralized databases.
  5. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and prepare comprehensive workflow and process documentation for management system modules used by the investment management team.
  6. Produce templates and research outputs for periodic performance reporting and analytics.
  7. Develop detailed user manuals for all developed tools and reports, and conduct training sessions for end-users.
  8. Contribute to additional investment portfolio analysis tasks, particularly those focused on process automation, data integrity, and efficient data management.
  9. Develop APIs for both datasets to enable future integrations.
  10. Deploy all developed code following DevOps standards and practices.
Requirements
  1. 8+ years of professional work experience.
  2. Proven expertise in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytics.
  3. Strong knowledge of SQL for database querying, data structuring, and performance tuning.
  4. Hands-on experience with Bloomberg systems, particularly proficiency in Bloomberg Query Language (BQL).
  5. Demonstrated ability to design end-to-end data solutions, including extraction, transformation, and visualization.
  6. Experience in preparing clear and detailed technical documentation and user training materials.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  8. Understanding of automation practices throughout the development, build, and deployment phases of the application life-cycle.
  9. Experience with development using Github, Bitbucket or Gitlab.
  10. Contributing to Open Source projects is a plus.
