Global Data Scientist Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Global Data Scientist to support our Credit Risk function in developing credit risk scoring models and providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data science and analytics, with experience in relational databases, data modeling, and statistical analysis. They will also be proficient in programming languages such as R and Python, and have excellent problem-solving skills to recognize and comprehend complex data flow and designs.

This role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate complex ideas clearly, and drive projects from initiation to delivery.

  • Develop credit risk scoring models using relevant data from various sources
  • Provide actionable insights to inform credit decisioning
  • Collaborate with risk and business teams to execute end-to-end data science projects
  • Analyze trends, find patterns, predict next best actions, and make accurate predictions
  • Make better credit decisions that optimize value

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in a busy commercial banking environment
  • Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
