Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hotel Engineering Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life-safety systems.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Engineering in daily departmental operations ensuring preventative maintenance and repairs for all building systems.
  • Oversee maintenance of the hotel's building structure grounds and critical systems to protect owner assets.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms public areas and facilities arranging timely repairs.
  • Assist in managing the engineering department budget and controlling operational costs.
  • Help plan and monitor CAPEX projects ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Source and procure engineering supplies tools and services ensuring quality and value.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws safety codes and brand standards especially regarding fire safety and life-safety systems.
  • Support health and safety initiatives including drills certifications and emergency protocols.
  • Remain on-call for urgent engineering situations or emergencies.
  • Supervise train and guide engineering team members delegating daily tasks effectively.
  • Act as technical lead when the Director of Engineering is absent.
  • Evaluate staff performance and recommend improvement plans.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve maintenance issues promptly for optimal guest satisfaction.
  • Lead or support special engineering projects and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Research and recommend new technologies materials and methods to improve efficiency.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Mechanical Electrical Civil or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in hotel engineering or similar hospitality environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance operations.
  • Leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
